Live Music: Haunting Autumn

Nicole Ledger “Woodbae” and Natasha Nichols began their lovechild “Haunting Autumn” in 2012. Largely inspired by “Tool”, “Warpaint” “Simon and Garfunkel” and “Tenacious D”, these two wild women set off to create an eerie duo project of original songs that feature mainly guitar, bass and vocals (and occasionally a clarinet, keyboard or electric kazoo). Now backed by drummer Kent Turner of the Trippin’ Gypsy’s and Ike and the Old Man. 

Their blended sound of eeriness and tenderness has allowed them to collaborate and perform with numerous different kinds of artists over the years, opening up for wild metal bands in their early days and more recently playing shows with other indie, folk and punk rock artists such as Mr. Dinkles, Gayle Skidmore, Sundae Crush, Canary Room, LAKE, Minor Birds, Joan Kelsey, Pileup, Thats Nokay, Lady Queen Paradise and many others. Haunting Autumn’s sound crosses the barrier somewhere between screaming metal and sweet melodies
